My current sunglasses are falling apart so I’m looking to purchase a new pair. They will primarily be used cycling however they will serve double duty as my all-around pair. Does anybody have suggestions as to things I should consider when purchasing? Things like manufacturer, retailer, lens color, polarized vs non-polarized. They won’t need to carry a lens subscription but if you have useful information regarding that, include it here for others to make use of. Thanks for your suggestions.

I have used Briko glasses exclusively for biking for 5+ years and they are still in excellent shape. Granted, I baby them by cleaning only with wet soapy fingers and keep them in the cloth pouch when not in use, but the hinges, frames, and lenses are all still near-perfect. I got them from Performance or Nashbar for about $45 I think. Also use Smith Sliders for running many years…my last pair is finally wearing out in loose hinges. Neither are polarized. Also have a prescription pair I got at Wal Mart that are comfortable for driving but the thick frames create blind spot obstructions that are not good for cycling.
